And since we’re multi-brand, every machine can run tyres selected from different manufacturers, best suited to the exacting demands of the axle and your operation.
Proplant stock a selection of popular plant OTR tyres in a range of sizes, but working across a wide range of heavy plant we mainly purchase to order – to ensure we always supply the best tyres for your operation.
Proplant are always committed to delivering the lowest running cost over the lifetime of your tyres, never just the lowest ticket price.
We supply and fit Radial Tyres, Bias Tyres and Solid Tyres
Depending on your application, the tyres we supply and fit are known under different names: heavy plant tyres, OTR tyres, plant OTR tyres, off the road tyres, off highway tyres, earthmover tyres, construction tyres, industrial tyres, port tyres, agricultural tyres, tractor tyres, combine harvester tyres, telehandler tyres, forklift truck tyre, material handling tyres – the list goes on. Whatever you call your tyres, there are three types of tyre construction:
Radial plant tyres offer good operator comfort with excellent grip, lower rolling resistance, and are suitable for high speeds. While radial plant tyres tend to be dearer than bias, they have a higher success rate for repairs, are less susceptible to pressure loss and tend to deliver higher TKPH ratings.
Bias plant tyres are renowned for their robust construction, ability to carry heavy payloads and offer excellent stability. They are resistant to sidewall abrasion, impact damage and punctures which makes them suitable for hostile environments – though the operator ride is slightly firmer.
Solid industrial tyres carry the heaviest loads and provide a maintenance-free lifetime. They offer excellent stability and are resilient to aggressive scuffing and abrasion – widely used on forklift trucks, port terminal trailers, waste recycling sites and other industrial applications.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems
Proplant Tyre Services are accredited installers for TPMS technologies designed for heavy plant machinery. Developed around powerful telematics platforms, they are engineered to work seamlessly with every tyre across your operation. Meaning you can benefit from one TPMS system across all your heavy plant. We recommend TPMS to optimise the uptime of your machinery, minimise the tyre risk and lower your operating costs.
Sustainable end of life disposal
Our safety-first strategy ensures your new tyres are fitted in the most professional and dependable way. To minimise the impact of your old tyres on the environment, we work with carefully selected tyre recycling partners. Around 95% of every tyre is recycled – with the rubber crumb used in building materials, garden furniture, playground soft-cushion flooring, synthetic surfaces in sports facilities, resilient road surfaces, rubber roofing products, industrial sealants as well as tyre-derived fuels.
Comprehensive tyre maintenance and repair services
Once fitted, our dedicated team of skilled tyre professionals provide the widest range of tyre maintenance and tyre repair services that are available when you need them with our on-demand service – or under proactive tyre management that’s tailor made for your operation.
With proactive tyre management, we regularly perform a routine of detailed tyre inspections across your plant machinery. This not only enables us to accurately predict replacement cycles, but our expert analysis of tyre performance can highlight that a specific tyre model delivers the lowest lifetime cost in operation, despite having a higher ticket price.
