Proplant Tyre Services use this unique hands-on expertise to offer truly impartial advice when recommending the best plant OTR tyres for each application.
Committed to optimising tyre service life
Whatever brand of tyres are fitted to your heavy plant machinery, our expert tyre maintenance and repair services will help them achieve the longest possible service life – consequently minimising the need for premature replacement.
Maintaining correct inflation levels is the single most effective sustainable procedure. Tyres operating below the pressure recommended for the axle load produce more friction and rolling resistance. This not only increases fuel consumption but considerably increases tyre wear unnecessarily.
Proplant Tyres Services only perform high-quality puncture repairs and major vulcanised repairs in compliance with British Standard AU 159. All repairs are engineered to enable your tyres to achieve their intended service life without any compromise.
Whilst our proactive tyre management is systematically proven to optimise tyre service life. Our programme of detailed tyre inspections will proactively identify any defects before they can escalate – enabling timely tyre maintenance and tyre repairs.
Our environmentally principled operating methods
As a responsible company, we apply high principles to our own operating methods. To provide Proplant’s tyre services for your heavy plant machinery, we assign and despatch the closest tyre professional to your location. This policy not only minimises road miles it ensures our service is always close at hand.
Our tyre professionals are supported by our modern fleet of specialist service vehicles. The technology we specify is carefully selected, with vehicle mounted calibrated compressors that deliver 145psi/10 bar outlet pressure to remove, refit and inflate tyres. The engine speed is only increased when pressure is needed, reducing fuel consumption in operation.
Our service vehicles are compliant with the stringent EU6 standard, implemented to improve air quality and minimise greenhouse gas emissions. Whilst our drivers are supported with technology that achieves Direct Vision Standard (DVS) three star compliance – designed to increase protection for vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists. These features permit operation within Greater London and the ULEZ Ultra Low Emission Zone without additional charges.
To ensure fleet reliability, our service vehicles are scrupulously maintained under the manufacturer’s full R & M contract.
Operating within an ISO 14001 compatible framework
The founder of Proplant Tyre Services worked for over 20 years at Commercial Tyres Off Highway, which was acquired by Tructyre Fleet Management in 2013. Tructyre’s highly regarded Compliance Manager developed an ISO 14001 framework that was naturally embedded across the organisation.
Proplant remain committed to these environmentally structured policies and practices, including the best use of resources and the reduction of pollution, to lower our environmental impact. We are committed to continuous improvement to ensure a more sustainable future.
End of life tyre disposal
All our policies are designed to ensure your plant OTR tyres achieve the longest possible service life. However, when they do finally wear out, we work to minimise their effect on the environment. Working with carefully selected tyre recycling partners, around 95% of every tyre is recycled – with the rubber crumb used in building materials, garden furniture, playground soft-cushion flooring, synthetic surfaces in sports facilities, resilient road surfaces, rubber roofing products, industrial sealants as well as tyre-derived fuels.
